Menu Mystery - No Dimmer Function

Menu Mystery - No Dimmer Function
My speedometer is very dark, and I would like to brighten it up. So I went to the dashboard EVIC Menu which shows all of the functions listed in the owner's manual except DIMMER. Seems very odd. What happened to the dimmer option? What is the solution? Thank you.

On Mine you just use the up/down arrows. Don't go in to the menu

They're the up and down arrow buttons you see on the speedometer cover. Look on the bottom right of this image, in this case it's a plus and minus, at least on some cars like ours, they're arrows. But they do the same thing.

    I don't have a car, or a FIAT, yet. But, we do have a 500 as a family car. It's a 2014 FIAT 500 1.4 MultiAir 105 Pop, 6-speed AISIN AS60T Automatic, Grigio & Nero, 15" steel wheels, and a white stripe.

    105 hp - 100 lb-ft.
No big mods, except for one, a K&N air filter.

Really? That's good to know. Everything I've read says the brightness of the gauge is not adjustable and is automatically adjusted by the ECU via a light sensor. I'll have to give that a try because my gauge is a little too bright at night for my taste.

Thank you! The dimmer buttons work when the headlights are on, which is wonderful. However, the speedometer is dark when the headlights are off. See photos. Shouldn't the speedometer automatically be lit during day driving when the headlights are off?

No, I wish. We have a 500 Pop, so our gauges are white faced for the speed, so it's easy to see.

Oh, and the brightness of the digital part of the gauge is not changed, just the speedometer. Well that's not good.

I stand corrected, the digital center part of the gauge does change brightness with the speedo.
