Solid Passenger Mount + Solid Torque Strut = Competent engineering? Hmmmm.

Sounds like you did something and broke something. Doesn’t have anything to do with DNA.

I guess I'll take a chance on the DNA mount. I finished installing mine tonight. Like Texanbrit said my Sport dynoed 129 crank hp so I'm not pushing near the power of the turbo cars. I took it out for a quick spin around the block tonight. I bought one with the street bushing in it and I'm glad I did. The first thing you notice is the vibs in the steering wheel. It was raining here tonight so I didn't push the car into corners like I wanted to. I've got a surgery early in the morning and don't know how soon I'll be able to drive the car again.

I haven't put mine on yet. Hoping for not too much NVH.

    Sportfan,

Do also have a torque arm insert in your car? I had one in my Sport and had to trim it down to avoid too much NVH. I can see an opportunity to do the same with the DNA engine mount. Maybe trim the bushings to join two of the holes together in three spots on each of the the two bushings? BTW, I hope that your surgery goes well.

The surgery went well thank you. I do have the insert in my torque arm. I'll have to get some miles on the car to see if the vibs are enough to be a problem. Maybe just on a long trip.

Cool. Let us know about the NVH. If it is an issue I may trim the bushings before I put mine in.

Lammie 200 did you get yours in yet? I see my doctor Monday and hope that it will be ok to start driving the Fiat again.

No, I haven’t installed mine yet. I have been distracted by other things. I am strongly considering trimming it first but I would like to hear about yours when you start driving again. Hope all is well.

I've driven the car around town some and one short highway trip. As far as NVH the vibs in the steering wheel are the only thing I've felt. One weird thing is the car sounds different, even at an idle. I really don't know what to expect from this motor mount ? I'm going to start pulling the transmission out today to replace the clutch with a ClutchMasters clutch and add a Quaife LSD. I had a time finding differential bearings. I didn't really want the OEM ones because nobody could tell me who made them. SKF, Timken, and *** are good quality bearings . I hope the OEM ones are made by one of them. Lammie2000 I suggest try the mount out before you trim it .
