I used a 1/4" drive hex socket (I think it was 5mm) on a swivel with a 3"-4" extension. The front bolt is the most difficult. Take that one off first and replace it last. If you are lucky once you break the old ones free you can turn them out with your fingers. Likewise you can put the new ones in finger tight before you have to put the socket on for the last turn to tighten them. Good luck! It is doable but fiddly. Also, you should stuff a rag underneath everything to catch anything you drop. Just be careful with the wires that are in the area.

    Hello EvilEvoIX,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As lammie said a 1/4" drive 5mm allen socket with a ratchet is how we do them in the shop. This gives better leverage and control for breaking loose the factory bolts.

It can be done with a standard allen key, but the socket makes life much easier.

GFB’s DV+ diverter valve for the 1.4L Turbo FIAT 500 offers a direct-fit performance solution for the weaker factory diverter valves used.

The DV+ addresses the factory valve problems with a very simple and elegant solution. Keeping the factory solenoid retains all the benefits of the stock system, and replacing the valve parts with stronger metal components ensures strength and reliability no matter how much boost you run.
