I went now for the Falken Azenis 510 in 225/35R17 on 17x7.5 off-set 35 wheels. Quite silent and good wet performance.

I just mounted four Falkin Azeis RT660 tires on my 500 Abarth and the performance is outstanding. They're symmetrical, meaning that they don't have an outside/inside, but they are directional. That means when the inevitable uneven wear occurs on your front tires, you can swap them with the rear tire on the same side. And then, later on, have them remounted on the wheel from the other side of the car, thus mitigating the fact that ultra high performance tires wear quickly. The dry grip is fantastic and the wet grip is surprisingly high. Quiet too. I'm thrilled with these tires.

Interesting size; have not seen those. Is there any rubbing? There may be chassis differences between the European and North American Abarth.

No, there is no rubbing, but I must admit the vehicle is not lowered.
Yes, there is a difference, the "chassis-brace" is missing in the european models what I have seen...

    US model:

Therfore the tuning brace is different: https://www.dna-racing.it/en/fiat-50...-rods-kit.html

I have the DNA chassis braces on my North American Abarth. Best choice for braces IMHO.

I will check also for those braces. By the way I made some pictures of the Falkens...

That is a beefy looking tire - a lot of rubber on the road!
