2015 Fiat 500c 1957 Edition
Happened last night, out of the blue... all these lights came on. It was raining hard yesterday so not sure if it is related to wire fault, sensor, or what... But wife's tells me that the check engine in the car turned on. When I get home that night and turn on the car to check, and a lot more than just the Check Light Engine came on:
ESC
Hill Holder Function Disabled (or something to that end)
Check Engine Light with a message in the display of Service Engine
I was not able to capture them as by the time I went back in to grab the phone to take a video and a few photos, the ESC and Hill Holder message would no longer appear...
And check engine light went out not too long after that...
I did search on the forum and found several threads but none of the threads had closure... meaning, nobody came back reporting what solved the issue and what got documented in the service documents from the dealer.
I have a code reader for my BMW but nothing for the FIAT... will buy one today (I know these can be read at the local autozone for free, but I have been meaning to add an inexpensive OBD II reader for awhile now). And the OBD II apps that I downloaded last night, I could not make them work with the Carly OBD adapter (which works great in my BMW). Not wasting $ buying any apps if for a lot less I can buy a reader...
Anyone that has gone through something similar? Can you share details on codes read, service write up on the fix? Parts replaced?
I will need to schedule an appointment with the dealer to take it in... but getting on a plane and will not be able to do anything for a week... it is my wife's car and not sure if I should park the car while I am out and have her use mine...
This was the only photos that I could take... shows the CEL only...
