    Wash and Wax

3 weeks old! First detail the weekend I bought it (posted detail here). Not very dirty at all, but I wanted to wash and wax.

    Wheels:
    Poorboy's World APC diluted
Poorboy's World Super Slick & Suds
    Various brushes
Final finish topped Tires with Poorboy's World Bold n Bright

    Wash
    two bucket of course
    PB SSS
    Dryed with leaf blower

Wax: well, the paint is black (Nero) and has flecks of color. A long time back Autogeek gave me (I think I won it) a sample of Dodo Juice Diamond White. Been on my shelf ever since. I think it is more appropriate for a lighter color but as I recall it is supposed to be good for finishes with flecks. So on it went!

Got to say I loved the smell and ease of use. Went on easy and buffed off super easy! I think the finish came out very nice.

    Interior:
    Sonax Dashboard Cleaner
    PB Natural Look
    Four Star Leather conditioner

    Glass:
    Megs Glass cleaner

Looks good, man. There are several threads regarding waxing here, with guys posting long laundry lists of chemicals used to make the car shine. I screwed around with a few of them at first, but now I only use turtle Ice, a synthetic polish you can get for about 15 bucks. Really makes the green flecks in the Nero twinkle. My 500 is 13 months old, and I can make it look like new anytime I have the time and energy.

A lot of people bash Turtle, but I think there is nothing wrong with using it. It is a fine brand. Personally, I like the more boutique brands and trying different things, but honestly I don't think anyone could tell the difference.
