    Pre Reflash vs Reflash Abarth Dyno Results

    Today I went and got a baseline of the car pre recall reflash. The car is a 2012 and these pulls were done completely stock with 93 octane gas on a AWD DynoJet dyno. I have video of all three pulls but currently I don't have them uploaded. When I get them uploaded I will update this thread.



    Average WHP 172.94
    Average WTQ 187.29

    Look forward to seeing the difference post reflash....

    BUT just wait till the miserables wake up today and go after you with the 170+ stock figures....hope youve got a thick skin as the graphophiles dont pull any punches in their relentless assaults!!!

    You may mean the difference between a lot of people getting or not getting the reflash done.

    I like that assaults comment. This place has been very civilized as far as an open car forum goes, excluding the mocking done by many in the burnouts thread. I already saw this thread last night and while I think the numbers are high, I'm going to ignore them and just look at changes in the graphs. Oh, I do love though how in every single thread involving a dyno you manage to complain about us when we discuss numbers.

    Hee hee US and WE!!! Oh and DISCUSS?!

    The irony! Anyways I hope this thread can clear up some of the mystery around the reflash as so far its been mixed but seems very little change either way. I like the violent power spikes, its the reason I bought an Abarth-smooth and steady aint what these cars are historically about!

    I don't suppose there is any way that Fiat would have included any dyno info to clearly define the relflash requirement? For an everyday car I could understand that they just tell the owners to come in for service XYZ, but with the enthusiast market of the typical Abarth owner, this would have been a great chance to just say "hey gang, we need to tweak your engine for X reason, which will result in typically Y amount of change in HP/Torque and give you bigger cup holders", or SOMETHING specific. Just a thought.

    I just had the reflash done. I notice a difference. More power. Now, it is not a huge difference and how much may be the placebo effect, I can't say. But I'm glad I had it done.

    I could care less about what others think. If I did my car wouldn't have hit 1000 miles on the race track!

    They could be high but I don't think they are far off. A stock 2011 C6 Z06 dyno'd right after me and put down 467whp and 432wtq.
