I am a little confused here.
If we were to install on the Abarth at the end that connects to the air intake before the turbo (the larger of the two pipes) the arrow should point away from the air intake if I understand the issue right. It is easier to install there but is the preferred location at the other end of the pipe?

    Thanks!

The check valve has to be placed near the chargepipe and NOT the intake. The line we are placing in the check valve on tees off between the chargepipe and intake and goes into the EVAP. That arrow on the checkvalve has to point towards the chargepipe so that flow is in the direction otowards the chargepipe. This will not allow boost to flow (leak) from the chargepipe towards the intake.

Had a look under the hood tonight with a flashlight. Wish I would have known about this checkvalve mod LAST weekend when I had battery tray out for the TB install, darn!

Does the mod absolutely have to be done at that location? Or is it just more effective/efficient by reducing the total hose volume?

Would be really cool if someone that knows what they're doing would do a video/picture walkthrough of the process for us folks that aren't totally getting it. Sounds like it could be a simple fix if illustrated properly.

It would be even cooler if that someone also sold a kit with the check valve and clamps! Hint hint ATM!

    I ordered a Kynar 3/8" check valve from US Plastics - http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/ite...rtnumber=64175.
As soon as it arrives and I get time to go under the hood I will video the experience
Looks like this valve should do the job?? If it does, somebody could order more and get a quantity discount and save on shipping.

I think they probably have their hand full on the FMIC, twin-turbo, and tunes at this point. :-) Notice in the pics you can just use some zip ties instead of clamps, so really the only thing left to purchase is the check valve. FWIW, I went into a brick and mortar O'Reilly auto parts store and they only had two vacuum hose check valves, but nothing near as large as 3/8"... Gonna try the one that TrevC grabbed too.
