    Chrysler Carlisle Nationals

Just a curious question since I can't attend this year but are any of the Philly FLU members or Fiat owners planning to attend and or display at the nationals. I think it would be a good chance for both Chrysler fans and Fiat nuts to see the historical and future side of the company's products!

Gee corporate mergers or take overs are one thing but do you think Fiats will really be welcomed by all those Hemi Cuda guys??? I mean I'm up for going because I think a lot of the older Mopars are neat but I'm not sure the establishment will be that thrilled about us

You would be surprised I was there about three years ago (just after the Fiat takeover) and there is a "related brands" section. There was one Dude with an E class and as any Chrysler fan boy will tell you no one is more hated by Chrysler fans than a Merc. I'm sure some will turn Thier noses up but there are alot of people like I was that are curious about Fiats and the history they have. It would be nice to have a showing if anything to show people what the brand is about. Don't be scared to show up Chrysler and Fiat are gonna be intertwined from here on out and though it could be a culture shock from both sides it should be a good experience for these two groups to get together and share a love for cool cars! Yes it's a strange but totally cool world where a Ram 3500 owner can chill with it's chic little cousin a classic 500 owner!

The only important thing is if they will let you get in a registered show car. IIRC, entry is like $5 per person. And you have to find or pay for parking. Entering as a show car was $20 when I went. So I paid $10 (there were two of us) to park on the show grounds.

Carlisle Import and Kit Car would be a better show to go to. The year I went, they had a raffle for a Fiat 850 Spider.

We had about 100 Fiats/ Alfas, etc at Carlisle Import in May this year. Not sure why FIAT corporate decides to not attend this. Like many other Fiat/Italian car owners, I have very little interest to go to Carlisle for Chryslers.

I like the old Mopar muscle cars, plus the new SRT stuff...
