I am willing to spend the $$ but I would like to at least see some data supporting the horsepower claims from both boxes. I don't think this is much to ask. The website states 25-40 hp span, that is a large variable in my opinion. Has anyone actually put one of these on a dyno? Which box is better, TMC or MM?

    3. Can the remote be added afterwards easily and how much on its own?

Oh, and how/when will you go with the preorders already registered?

    thanks
    Thank you for the questions!

Here are the answers to your questions:

    1. We took a long drive late last night after we closed shop and hit our 300 mile break in. Today we will be fitting both modules on our car and doing evaluations. We will report back right after that.

    2. We have the module for testing at our shop, but the shipment with the modules and radio control units are not here yet. Once they arrive we will install one in our car and put them up on the site. We will also update the forums.

    3. Yes, the remote can be added later. It is all plug and play.

We will be contacting all preorders starting today. We have many more pre orders then modules that are on the way, but are expecting for some to hold off and not go through with their pre order. All priority will be given to those that paid the $1 reservation fee. After those are taken care of then we will fill all online orders that started to be placed yesterday.

Hope that helps answer some of the questions.

Yes, we will be contacting everyone today and giving everyone a choice. We ordered enough Radio Remote Modules to satisfy all orders.

We will be testing some today. It will not be a dyno test, it will be a simple side by side comparison.

No the Sport Button works. I did an evaluation on the TMC unit yesterday for a couple of minutes and the Sport button still made a big difference. Today we will spend more time with both units.

Yes, we have them available as well. Our goal is to always provide our fellow owners with good options at every price point. We are stocking the TMC Module along with their entire line of products and also have the Magneti Marelli unit on the way along with many other products.

As far as tuning boxes go you have a choice. The TMC unit and the Magneti Marelli unit. We provide the options, but the choice is yours.

The Magneti Mareli Engine Module achieved a 25% boost in power on the FIAT 500 ABARTH Venom Concept Car (verified by Magneti Marelli). That is the same type of power gain Magneti Marelli achieved on the EU Versions of the ABARTH.

We will have the units programmed with the same tune as the Venom Concept. This is a setting of 77%, not 100%. You will be able to turn it up a bit more, but for safety and reliability we will not set it above the 77% mark. The rest is up to you.

+1. Waiting for the hype to dissipate and the dust to settle.

The reason for the 25-40 hp span is there is a adjustment dial on the back of TMC unit. It comes preset at level "6" and you can dial up or down from there. Daron from TMC told me to use high octane gasoline. Unfortunately I am in California and we have only 91 octane gasoline unless you go to the track or buy a race gas in cans from the race shops. I asked him about the use of octane booster and he said that should help. He also told me to use higher octane gasoline for sure if you are going to turn up the adjustment higher than "7".

As for the MM unit, since I don't have one yet I don't know.
