Abarth Seats - USA version vs Euro Competizione version

I'd rather have the Competizione seats in my Abarth. Perhaps a special order?

You could order them from Europe. Or wait for a US Abarth special edition with those seats.....you know it will happen eventually.

That trim spec is specific to the Competizione, however two trims of the same seats (Sabelt) are available through the Abarth accessories catalog.

    http://www.tmcmotorsport.com/Abarth_Interior.aspx

Prices start at 1623.50 (+VAT @20%) = 1948.10 plus fitting.... just shy of the cost of an Esseesse kit.

Thanks for the link! Iv'e written to them to see the cost of shipping.
I doubt I'll be able to order my Abarth sans seats....

I'm not waiting for a US Abarth Special edition. I'm sure an upgrade kit will be made available down the road (with a 180hp boost).

Did you ever get a reply back on shipping? I would love some of these in my Abarth. Make the seats hug like my old JDM WRX STi Impreza seats.

Those seats are beautiful. They are in the Fiat 500 Carbon showcar.

I asked about them backstage at the launch, currently there are no airbags for them so it doesn't look good at the moment. But that was one month ago, so you never know. I do know they like them....

Hi folks, I'm Daron from TMC Motorsport, I have looked at various shipping options for you on the seats, because the package is almost pallet size and weighs 66kg its hugely expensive to send by air (almost 1000GBP), the cheapest quote so far was by sea and that still came in at around 600. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get them to US cheaper please let us know. We are happy to supply anything you need for your 500 and Abarth 500 and normally shipping on smaller items is much cheaper but the seats are an exception due to size and weight. Anyone is welcome to contact me at info@tmcmotorsport.com

I'm happy to help with any questions. Happy holidays.

    Regards
    Daron

Worst case you save up a ton o cash and get them from that source. I've shipped a set of WRX seats before from UK Ebay. Was about 200......

On top of that price, it's no cheap endeavor. Doesn't mean it wouldn't be worth it though.

Do the US seats have to have airbags though?...they are fitted as standard in the A500 here but by paying for the option seat you sacrifice the airbag but no issues with the type approval regs, even when installed by Abarth.
