Fall FIAT on the Dragon Lodging details - Make reservations quickly, very limited number of rooms available
Time to make hotel reservations for the Fall FotD event. It is going to be great!
This fall will be a road trip-style event that puts us at a different stop each night. These hotels all have a block of rooms for our group, and you must make your own reservations quickly to ensure a spot. We only have about 25 rooms in each location, so don’t delay if you plan to join us. Mention the FIAT group to get the block and preferred rate. If they sell out or prefer a different option, that is fine; you can book elsewhere if you like.
Thursday, October 12
The first night will be at a hotel in Bristol, Tennessee, called The Sessions. It is a really cool treat, and I suggest that you arrive early on Thursday to experience the destination. This will be a great way to start out the trip. I have set a block of 25 rooms for each hotel stop. Once these are booked, you must make other lodging arrangements. Our goal is to keep this group reasonably small.

Our drive will take us on some fantastic roads and the fall colors should be close to peak. We will stop for lunch at The Chalet Restaurant. This will be a great lunch with an amazing view of Little Switzerland. After lunch, we will pass through Asheville and settle into our Friday stop in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. We have a choice of two hotels next to each other for this stop. They are listed below. Hopefully, we'll be able to find dinner options once we are there but dinner is on your own.
The Laurel Park Inn
This hotel is smaller and more affordable than the Clarion option. We have about 5 rooms blocked here. If you want to save money, you can choose this option.

Depart Fontana Village for our farewell drive across the tail of the Dragon. Driving this road on Sunday morning will be a very uncrowded experience for our group. We will then proceed to the Devil’s Triangle and lunch at The Warden’s Table at Brushy Mountain Prison. From there, you may depart for home, wherever that may be.
