This is a really good review of the new Abarth 500e. It a shame the Abarth version will cost over $40k, when it hits the shores here.
Aimed at the young successful individuals. I might pick up one, a couple years old. Out of a lease.

Found this review a little too positive if that makes sense.
For instance in another review from europe the reviewer said the 500e Abarth was feeling heavy compared to the 595/695 making it handle different. He also said the sound emulator tends to drone on the highway making you want to turn it off. The problem with that is you can only turn the sound emulator on/off with the car at rest and only thru the menu. It would be better if it was a button on the dash that you could control at speed.
I know this is wishing in the wind but if only Fiat bought an 500e or 500e Abarth to the USA and let a few reviewers drive it in the USA. The perspective would be more in line with our driving experience.
This is the review I'm referring to above. I hope the OP doesnt mind me posting it here:

2016 500X Easy, Go pedal, Autoflash, LED headlights and reverse, LED DRL, carbon fiber shift gate, ST T9 wheels, PIAA wipers, '17 motor mounts, AEM Dry Flow
I just watched a You Tube video, on the brand new smart car Brabus #1. It’s list for over £43k. 0-60 3.9 seconds. Dual motor too.
I wish Fiat could have at least made the 500e faster for the asking price.
If they’re giving the money back to me, I’m ok with thatI’ll take $10k in rebates for this little guy…
2017 500 Abarth, manual trans, NAV, Beats, Sunroof, 17" wheels, everything. But no mods. None, nada.
