Steering column cover loose, anybody else (2023 thread)

    Hello everyone
I read somewhere that some people have had problems with the under steering wheel plastic coming loose.

I own a FIAT 500 e, but likely the same build

    https://www.fiat500owners.com/thread...ody-else.7336/

It seems I have exactly the same issue and wondering if this can be fixed or the new plastic needs to be purchased ( and where?)

    Attaching photo.
    thanks a lot

There are multiple write ups on repairing the plastic piece. You'd have to do a search.

Here's a popular post on our forum showing how our old buddy Tweak fixed his:

    http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showt...l=1#post671326

The pictures are gone in his post, but in a nutshell he used the caps off of ChapSticks and glued them to the shroud. It takes a little creativity, but it is pretty easy depending on how bad your cover is cracked and broken.

We've had quite a few threads on this, too.

What was left fit almost perfectly over the stand offs.

We have it all here on this forum, No need to go anywhere else.

I used epoxy and carbon fiber on the two mount towers. Solid as a rock.

    Thanks everyone
I did manage with some patience to put some gaskets with Super Attack and back in place with newer and longer screws!

    Great stuff
    Appreciate a lot!
