    I've Decided To Sell - 2017 Adult Owned - Bought New - 2017 Abarth

I posted this in the general Abarth section under the title of "Throwing Out Feelers" but I've decided to go ahead and sell my 2017 Fiat Abarth. Below is a copy/paste of what I had in the listing so I don't have to retype everything. I've been doing a bit of searching to get an idea if my price is way out there and from what I can find this far, it's not. I'm asking $17,995 but as with everything the price is a negotiable within reason, and please serious buyers only.

Due to some life circumstances, the old aging process it's time to start looking for a more practical car that is easier for me to get in and out of. That being the case I'm considering selling my 2017 pearl yellow (sorry I don't recall the fancy Italian name for it) Abarth. This car is adult owned and driven and the speedo shows under 28k on it. The engine is stock, it's never been driven hard, oil changed every 5k, air filter twice too, also cabin filter, I have had the headlights and tail light shaded, but not the lower driving lights. As you can see in the photo for the front of the car it has a partial bra with the scorpion on it. I also have a new set of Iridium spark plugs and at least one extra oil filter and air filter which will come with the car. The tires have less than 6k miles on the (Yokohama's) and I replaced the battery about 3 months ago. ( I have all the receipts of everything done. )There is a very small peck mark in the windshield, and the lower rocker panel on the passenger side, you know the ones that pop out, well yeah it's popped out a bit and it's just a slight different color, fading maybe, I don't know. This car has a clean title (I own the car) and it's never been wrecked, Carfax has all the info, I know because I checked it. Ok, I'm thinking of selling it for $17,995.00 The range I found is a low of $15,995.00 retail to $22,995.00 on the high side. Mine falls in the middle for $18,700.00. Oh, there is no navigation and no dual climate ac/heat, so I guess it's just the regular option.

    Admin note:
    Dillinger63 updates us:

I tried to update the original post, but couldn't find a way to do it, soooo and I really appreciate Smark pointing this out (below). I'm going to list my car for $14,995.00 Yes it is a bit higher than what KBB private sell price is showing (but no where's near the $17,995.00) because of the very low mileage and excellent condition it is in, plus a few goodies that will come with the car. If anyone is interested please PM me. If I can't sell it for around this price, then I'll just keep it. Also, I will continue to drive it here and there, so the miles will change, but as you can see by the current 27,500 on a 2017 car, I haven't driven it a lot.

Thanks, it's been a tough decision, and I have another collector car I'm going to sell, but I've noticed the older I get the harder it is getting to get in and out of these smaller, lower to the ground cars. I'm hoping who ever buys it babies it the way I have. This car has never seen a salted road, and even after I've driven it when I get home I wipe it down. Also, not one issue with it since I bought it. I'll be sad to see it go, but getting older changes life's situations.

Nice looking car; must be hard to let go of it. It's funny, but I'm old with a stiff back and my wife also has serious back problems. We both find the Abarth easy to get in and out of because of the tall and upright seating position. The problem with the Abarth for her, is the hard ride. I have to drive more cautiously when she's in the car. I may let go of my C5 Corvette for the reason you mention, but I'm keeping the Abarth.

I like the 16” alloy wheels. Have you checked out Kelly Blue Book? For private owner sales number.

Smark ..... I haven't, thanks for the info. I wonder if my lower mileage would be taken into consideration in their price range? I've seen ranges all over the place too. I'll entertain offers if someone is interested. Of course the dealership where I'm looking at getting the vehicle I'm interested is is low balling the bee-jeebers out of me, which of course I'm not surprised.

Also, Carvana has listed, with more miles and some 2013's are in the price range of mine. I know Carvana is always high so that is why I said in my listing that I'll entertain reasonable offers.

Although it's mainly back issues, also the fact I'm 6'1,(no not overweight) sliding in and out with some new hip issues isn't helping.

Bummer. I can see at some point that my car preferences like driving a manual transmission will be affected by my knee issues at some point. Pain can take the fun out of anything. Good luck.

Yes that was figuring in the low milage of your car.

Here is one for you, I went to the dealership where I'm looking at buying the vehicle I want and after some discussion on trade in vs selling out right the sales manager told me not to follow anything on KBB. So, a bit of investigating, and I found this. No wonder they are trying to really low ball me.
