I was wondering if anyone had any idea if a European Uconnect 7 system would work as a replacement for a USDM 2017 Fiat with Uconnect 5.
I have no idea, but I'm hoping someone has experience with this and will answer.

A lot of us would like an answer to this question. Still can’t believe North America never got that nice, big screen
2017 500 Abarth, manual trans, NAV, Beats, Sunroof, 17" wheels, everything. But no mods. None, nada.
Just buy the brand new 2023 500e. 10” screen Apple car play Android auto, navigation, backup camera etc.
Fiat USA didn’t even care to update the 500’s front and rear façade here. Plenty of aftermarket sound system,
out there. With all the bells and whistles. A lot better then the over priced OEM system.

I changed out my OEM for aftermarket. I would not recommend a Euro OEM. My Kenwood fits in the stock (2016 0n) location with no mods. Without any speaker changes, sound quality is vastly improved over OEM. Much better screen. All the steering wheel controls work. Plays high-def flac audio files - you get functional Bluetooth, Apple carplay, Android auto, back-up camera, etc, even gauges,0-60 and quarter mile times depending on the HU. If you want nav and DVD/CD playback you can have it.Originally Posted by smark
