    Forge recirc blow-off valve

Does this install the same way as the atmospheric valve? Seems like it does but just want to see if anyone knows for sure.

Yes, identical install. Only difference is lack of speed holes in the body of the valve.

Thanks. I have done searches here and it doesnt seem like CELs are an issue with these. Do you know if that is true?

Installed properly, I've never had a CEL traced back to the Forge valve. I run a recirc on one car and an atmospheric on the other.

    Issues:
    1. If you clean/rebuild the valve, putting too much grease can cause it to stick. Solution: Don't put too much grease.
    2. The atmospheric valve does pass some oil from the intake into your engine bay. You always have oil in the intake due to PCV, either more or less depending on engine condition. If you like spotless engine bays without having to clean, then recirc is better.
    3. If taking apart the valve to clean it, damaging the o-rings is a real risk. Also you have to be VERY careful during assembly not to pinch an o-ring. I learned and now use a small dab of grease to hold the o-ring in place during installation. New O-Ring kits are about $25 if I remember correctly and come with a full set of orings and the proper grease for a rebuild.

The Forge is in my experience much more reliable than the GFB.

I just ordered the Forge recirc. The GFB has worked well for me but I am switching to a high flow intake and I think I need a better BOV setup. Wonder if I will still get oil in the turbo because the A/O separator will still be hooked up to the stock airbox on the intake side and I have a catch can on the PCV/throttle body side.

I had the GFB and had issues with limp mode and a CEL. Switched to the Forge recirculating bov and haven't had an issue for the 3 years I have ran it.
