Which is what I thought was the only way to make this work. It won't sell outside of densely populated areas. So California, NY, perhaps a few other states with major metros.

It's a city car. It will sell in cities. That's it.
The curious point for me is how do folks who live in a city and don't have a garage charge their car?

In the major cities here. There is no place to even park, more unless a charging station. Chicago people walk.
There isn’t a need for city cars, town down. Parking is very expensive. The people there, that live out in the burbs.
commute by trains to work. LA at least has a Inner structure, for charging EV. Miles and miles of freeway driving.

The 2-tone treatment of the Panda concept reminds me of a Honda Element.

I doubt it'd do well in NYC. But since I'm halfway between Seattle and where they think bears are made of gold, it'd be OK with me. Somehow I doubt the Panda will look as kewel as the photos, though.

There are only 31 gas stations in all of Manhattan. So someone has it figured out. But there IS an effort underway to build out chargers. Some of the parking garages that are affiliated with apartment houses are installing them so owners can charge overnight. Lucky for them, they're also usually on the first level.

Not a fan of that Panda design. Looks like a Kia Soul.
