2012 Fiat 500 Sport Parts Car

Hello! My little Fiat engine has the dreaded oil pressure light coming on. Had the pressure sensor and pump replaced and light still comes on during idle (goes off when engine is above 1500rpm). Of course the dealer wants a crazy amount of money to replace the engine.

I'm looking to see if any one is looking for a 500 Sport as a project car? Or does anyone have a wrecked car and need a 99.9% Black body? I've seen a few folks convert to electric.

I'm really sorry to hear of your loss.

Did they pull an oil pressure reading from the car? I assume they would before replacing the pump, but some shops just guess. What pressure did they get? If a rod isn't knocking, you might want to replace the oil pressure bypass.

It's too bad it's so far away or I'd take on the project. You'll probably want to post this in the For Sale section.
