    Wheel Touch-Up Paint?

I got a couple of small chips in one of my rims, and would like to touch them up in the off season. They're 17" Hyper Black wheels - does anyone know a source of touch up paint?

Run it by any automotive paint store, ask them to scan a flat area of the wheel. They will sell you a small body of touch up paint. The chips on your will never look that great, even after touching them up. Just to protect the alloy wheel. It will look just like a paint blob.

There’s another company, it’s called Automotive Touch up. They might have the correct touch up paint color.

Yeah I know it will never be perfect, just want to make it less obvious.

For the Anthracite wheels, most people use this: Dupli-Color ACC0414 Metallic Graphite Chrysler Exact-Match Scratch Fix All-in-1 Touch-Up Paint - 0.5 oz

    Chrysler Color code PDR

Here's a bunch of threads on wheel touch up for those doing research: Wheel Touch Up

My pleasure Just want to mention that I saw one guy said it didn't match their wheel and someone else said there may be different colors over the years. So keep that in mind. Seems a lot of people use it though.

I had gotten a rash mark on one of my 695 Maserati wheels. I was sick. There is a Car Quest paint shop here in Chattanooga she scanned the wheel mixed the paint and cost me under $30.00 for a pint. Took home used 1,000 grit wet sand paper and eraser end of a pencil so I would not sand more area than I wanted then lightly brushed on the paint. To my great relief you can not even tell where the damage was.

I've also read about that too when I was looking for touch up paint for my curb rashed Hyper Black wheels, and they're a pretty darn good match! Maybe like a 95% match to the Hyper Blacks? Good enough for me, and with some proper care like sanding, polishing, along with the touch up paint and clear coat, I say you can pretty much get a perfect match.

My winter project is to fix all of the curb rash on all of my four wheels (yes all four, from the previous owner, sad face), before spring/summer and mounting some new rubber!

Yup, a pencil eraser was part of the plan, and I have 1000 grit and 1500 grit wet paper.
