I'm willing to bet you can find cash on the hood of a 500X. https://www.fiatusa.com/incentives.f...Code=CUX202106

The picture made me cringe ... my condolences on your loss. I've lost track of the number of close calls with deer I've had, the last only a couple of weeks ago. As to your car's value, as others said I'd check to to see the market prices- it be may worth more than you or the insurance company think. I'm in the process of moving the loan on my 2018 500 Abarth (35,000 miles) to my credit union. They gave me a retail value of, iirc, $19,700. Not too bad imho for what is essentially a 4 year old car. For better or worse the inflation we see everywhere is also driving up the prices of used vehicles. I sign the papers tomorrow on a new 2021 H-D Road King that I'd ordered a few months ago. They're asking more for a used '21 Road King that's on the floor than I'm paying out the door. Have some friends who are truck shopping who report much the same. Best of luck with the new Honda.

The thing that gets me right in the feels about the loss of my 2012 to a random Georgia deer is that the engine was a sweet unit, it never used oil to any amount that was noticable. I was told by a FIAT tech that this was the equivalent of a minor lottery win that is determined by the assembly of the engine at the factory, with the most important item being how the piston rings are installed and "clocked". I had it on Red Line oil from it's first oil change which it seemed to really like. Damnit I liked that car.
