    500 Pop wheels.

Does anyone know what 500 MADNESS's painted steel rims look like on a 500? Because through the pictures I don't know if it would look good on our car. I detailed the car earlier today and used some Meguiars Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner and it worked great, but there are still rust spots and it's not the high gloss black it used to be. Also some bends in from the tire changing machines. I did put on the original wheel trims that I recently painted white, but those may or may not commit fly away hubcap. So we're very much considering buying these.

    I don't have a car, or a FIAT, yet. But, we do have a 500 as a family car. It's a 2014 FIAT 500 1.4 MultiAir 105 Pop, 6-speed AISIN AS60T Automatic, Grigio & Nero, 15" steel wheels, and a white stripe.

    105 hp - 100 lb-ft.
No big mods, except for one, a K&N air filter.

Here I photoshopped it. Or I tried to.

You got to much air in those wheel arches. Looks like 14” wheels. For your Mom’s birthday buy her some nice 16” OEM alloy’s, or 17” aftermarket. Loose the cheap heavy steel wheels. Head over to Boris at Madness, install some lowering springs. Rear sway bar too. Then head for the canyon roads.

You Mom’s Pop, will be the envy, of the cars, and coffee. At Redondo Beach.

We've decided we're going to wait until the right set of alloys come up for a good price online. Either 16's or 15's. Like the Pop 15" alloys or the 16"s on the Sport.

I still think the factory 16" sport wheels are some of the best looking wheels ever. I'm glad I have them on mine.

For now you could pull the wheels, clean and sand carefully, and apply a rattle can paint job. If you pop off the weights, mark the position. They'll look new. It's too bad the wheel won't hold a baby moon, but trim rings or pin-stripe tape dress them up a bit if you like the classic look.

I love them on my Sport. That mainly why I bought that model. Didn’t care for the 15” on the Pop, or Lounge model.

I actual like the 16” on the Abarth, over the optional 17” ones.

I remember when F500's were still here, I'd see Sport models with hubcaps. There's actually a 500c "Sport" in my town. I know it never existed here. But it's a 500c Lounge, with Sport wheels, Sport brakes, Sport bumpers, with the Sport's white and black leather interior. But it has the Lounge shift knob, Lounge gauges, and Lounge suspension.

If the wheels were originally shiny, your could try polishing and wax them to bring them back up. Try it in a spot and see. If they are too far gone, you can also spray paint them. Not hard to do and probably less tedious than rubbing the wheels out.

Another option is instead of buying new steel wheels and re-using your old tires, find used alloys and spend the money on new tires. The alloys may even come with good tires. The vendors may have good take off rims available for sale.
