IIRC, that 124 had that problem before the tune, or at least that's what the Youtube said. I can't recall what he found to be the cause, but he corrected the problem. It's been a while since I watched the vid.

I wouldn’t spend too much time on it :-). Throttle closure is a normal working of the ECU. If it’s stock, airflow limits are reached. All I know is that I’m talking about Ken’s big turbo car with meth and slicks. That car melted a piston. My current tune is pushed to the edge…I’ve looked at EGTs and the whole shebang. Without substantial hardware upgrades and possibly without a limited slip diff, it’s the most power you can sustain across the power band. The meth tune that John built with me is peak without being ridiculous.

These days I’m publicizing less and less because I put considerable effort, money and knowledge into building race cars. When I share my factual insights, I get met with ricer dissonance. In general objective discussions are impossible without everyone checking their egos at the door prior to sitting down at your computer and posting. It actually got so bad on Facebook that I was quoting Gale Banks and people (engineers) were still projecting their personal dissonance. It’s Gale freaking Banks, if you know more than him, go and break his speed records.

I have the "normal" mode of the Sport button tuned to the 695 Tributo Ferrari level, which is a bit zippier than stock but still relatively conservative. It's the mode I use 100% of the time on the street and it's quite nice. I use Sport mode (Stage II) tune for Autocross. Works for me.
