well guys here it is after my 2014 VW got smashed. I would have like to keep my 2014 VW TDI Jetta but it was smashed. I will post it after.
SO this is what happen I had about a week to go shopping so I was in a bit of a hurry. I was trying to get a new Fiat 500X but the two dealerships I called was saying really high payment like $714 per month, with 2k down and good credit on a lease. I told them I was looking for a 2020 or 2021 Sport or Trekking plus. So they told me I should buy $37,000 500X. They told me "oh there Fiats there special cars. you wouldn't understand a thing about these cars" he wouldn't let me talk and say "Mr sir this will be my second Fiat" SO I went to look at nissan and was a little rude and insulted me buy buying a fiat, and a VW. So I ended up buying a 2020 VW Jetta SEL $30,149 for $23,049. Sorry I will post later I have to convert the photos.

Congratulations on your Jetta. Sad to hear about your treatment at the Fiat dealer. Don't even know what to say about that except it's an embarrassment. I guess insulting and being rude is the latest sales technique.

You could lease a 2.0 liter Jaguar XK-F for less money.

These dealers are idiots.

Quick story: Wife needed to replace her trusty Honda Civic with 170,000 miles on it. She drives a lot, needs something reliable, but I wanted something more upscale for her. Perfect choice comes up: the Acuara ILX which is what a luxurious Civic is. Very refined car. Website offer is $229 a month lease, plus a $500 bonus for a trade in of any Honda product under 10 years old. Net lease is now $219 a month, with about $3000 down. (Which I figure the trade in easily covers)

Salesman shoots me a price of $285 a month PLUS $5000 down. I show him the Acura website with the deal shown. He disappears for 15 minutes to talk to his manager. In the meantime, I know he has to take the deal: he's a franchisee.

He comes back and honors the website deal. Aside from the ludicrous attempt to jack up the price, I'm 68 years old and I look it. I think to myself "does this 25 year old putz realize how many cars I've bought and sold over the course of my lifetime, and he's going to attempt to pick my pocket?"

There is no other form of retailing that tolerates this. The dealer franchise model should be obliterated.

There's news articles out there going on about lack of inventory and therefore top dollar being asked for many makes and models and even used.

Could be why they wasnt letting it go very cheap. I think they had like 2-3 Fiat 500X on the lot.
