    500L Sport mode

Does anyone know why the L does not have a sport mode? Also has anyone put in a chip tuning box and go pedal? If so how well did it improve (or not) your car. Did it cut your gas mileage.

I would still like to know if anyone has done anything to the "L" engine or why it does not have a "sport" mode. Thanks

There are a few videos on YouTube on 500L upgrades like intake and tuning. I had a Go-Pedal for a short time and it gave better acceleration of the line but that was it.

HPSI has a video called Fiat 500L Intake and Tune Fast

I don't own a 500L, but this is from the manual for the 2019 model. I'd guess you have an older model?

    5. Base And Sport Mode Gauge Displays
Depending on what options and trim level your vehicle may be equipped with, two gauge displays are available with the push of the Sport Mode button.

    SPORT MODE
The Sport mode increases steering feedback to the driver with slight increases in effort and throttle pedal-to-engine response. Changes to the transmission shift schedules for more aggressive shifting will occur on automatic transmission versions. Sport driving mode is useful while driving on winding roads where more steering precision is desired.

Our 2014 500L wasn’t equipped with a sport button. It’s not exactly a sport car. Large station wagon. It had the dual clutch transmission.

I had a racechip GTS in my 500L and it did pep it up a bit, but the car still weighs 1000lbs more than a 500 Abarth so it's a "hmm" not a "wow". I eventually replaced it with a Eurocompulsion tune which is much smoother than the piggy back. The car is still slow.

I have a go-pedal that I keep meaning to try as the pedal feels very wooly on my 2014. I find myself going slower that I need to because I'm not pressing the pedal really hard enough.

What all did you get on your Eurocompulsion? From what I understand on it you can get different features to include the “Crackle Pop”. Interesting to hear you say that you got a go pedal. I had been wondering if that was a feature that could be added to the Eurocompulsion, so I guess that is a no. I have been looking at the Go Pedal from 500 madness, they have one that works with smart phone and holds the last seting. It has three selections. I still don’t really understand the advantage of the Eurocompulsion over a chip box.

Just a vanilla tune, I didn't bother with the options, I just wanted a bit of extra pep in the step. Same with the Abarth 500, I've had most of the options but ultimately dropped them as unneeded or just annoying (pops and bangs).
