Which summer tires are you guys running?

I'll be shopping for tires here shortly (in Canada if it makes a difference). Trying to find something that won't hurt too much price wise. I've narrowed it down to two sets, however wouldn't mind some additional input / options.

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 @ $125 CAD per tire (about $99 USD) These are performance summers. The tread pattern looks pretty sweet lol

Nitto Neo Gen @ $106 CAD per tire (about $84 USD) These are "performance" all seasons

I'm also planning to run 215/40/17's rather than the OEM 205's. Looking for a bit better ride quality, and because i'm on stock height i shouldn't have any issue with rubbing.

I loved my Indy 500s, but I also hear great things about the Nittos. Really can't go wrong here.

Depends on your definition. I think they were around 3/32" after something like 15,000 miles and 40 Autocross runs. I was pretty impressed with that.

The wore longer and more evenly than the Riken Raptors that they replaced, but definitely faster than a non-performance tire.

Hope that helps at least a bit.

When the original Pirellis wear out I'm going with the Indy 500s. They're working great on my wife's ST.

2017 Jeep Renegade 1.4 Turbo, Anvil & Black

I also run the Pirellis, which are good tyres, but discontinued at least in Europe. After them, I would like to switch to 225/35R17 as with the bigger diameter of the 215/40R17 it might get problems with the speedometer. Probably I will go for the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2.
