They dropped the pressure??? Maybe they want to drop the pressure to give the tires a lower profile, which equals to better handling.

I saw one really good video on how to get to the plugs, we've got them on our own before. Really easy change the o ring, AOS, and the coils. Really easy. I don't know when that little MultiAir filter has to be changed, I'm assuming in a couple years. I don't know why it's so important, it's a tiny little thing that looks like it doesn't do much. But I heard that filter can be the difference between having a good engine, and an engine with a bad MultiAir system.

The MultiAir filter filters the oil going to the MultiAir assembly. You are talking about tiny passages that gunk and debris could cause issues. If the car had regular oil changes from the start, there doesn't seem to be a great necessity to change the filter - at least at low miles. However, if the car has an unknown or undocumented history and / or is used under severe conditions, it's not a bad idea to change, providing dirt and gunk isn't introduced into the system when changing the filter.

The factory says a change is not necessary, so changing it is based on what folks on this forum and internet have reported back. Somewhere around 50 - 90K miles are when people are doing it, depending on your car's condition.

I have 60K on my car and I'm not in a big rush to change it, but if I bought a used car, I'd look into changing it sooner than later.

At your age, my brother and I were rebuilding carburetors in our bedrooms. Replacing shocks, complete tune ups. Rotating tires, etc. Get yourself, a oil extractor, changing spark plugs, less then a hours work. We adjust valves, one Sunday afternoon, dropped a salvage 6 banger in a Ford Falcon. Your not going to crack the head. I still have our first floor jack, from western auto store. Many of my Dads Craftsman’s hand tools. The seals in the floor jack, have been replaced over the years. Your never going to learn, how to work on cars. just looking at, and posting on a mobile phone.

I had that back light recall done, 5 years ago. It’s just a software up date.

When I was a kid I was desperate to work on a car so I would take my poor dad's car apart. Luckily, I was always able to get it back together, but there were one or two close calls. LOL. My dad had a lot of patience. I can see some reluctance on having the family car taken apart.

I remember rebuilding carbs on the living room floor. Probably watching Combat with Vic Morrow. Nice memories.
