The FIAT is misfiring again. The mileage reported is actually off by 500 miles, so 50,540 is the actual mileage. I PM'd 500 Madness, to see what they have to say. We might actually have to make a trip there now.20210220_173349.jpg

I don't have a car, or a FIAT, yet. But, my mom does have a 500. It's a 2014 FIAT 500 1.4i MultiAir Pop, Grigio & Nero, 6-spd automatic, 15" steel wheels, and a white stripe.

Sorry to hear. A P0300 random cylinder misfires can have many causes. It's hard to diagnose something over the internet, but some of the following questions can give you clues. The stuff listed below is the easy stuff and just part of normal maintenance and you want to make sure that was done and out of the way before going going further.
You want to start at the basics. Have you had any work done recently?
Some other basic questions:
- Did you check your oil? Low oil can cause misfires.
- How many miles on the oil? Dirty oil can also cause misfires.
- What's your oil change schedule? Do you go past the oil change reminder?
- What weight oil do you use?
- Do you use ANY additives?
Next have you changed the spark plugs? If you have:
- At what miles where they changed?
- What kind?
- Did you gap them?
- How where they gapped?
- Did you use a torque wrench to install them. Unless a person has experience and a good feel for installing plugs, they can be under or overtightened. Both can bring issues.
If the coils were out, how did they look? Any rust in the connector, or more likely, was there oil in the spark plug well? The coil connectors can be easily broken. Are they tight and intact.
You also said you have misfires again. How did you fix them before?

Just have your parents, take the car into the Fiat dealership. Have them diagnose the problem.
P0300 indicates that two or more cylinders are experiencing misfires. A misfire occurs when an insufficient amount of fuel is burned in a cylinder. ... A misfire from two or more cylinders can be caused by many reasons from a faulty ignition system, fuel system, or internal engine failure.
