    Question Has anyone Seafoamed (or similar) their 1.4T?

    Very shortened story is that i've recently had a new (used) engine installed in my 500 abarth. thus far it's running relatively well, however due to the engine sitting in a warehouse before being sold i figured it'd be a good idea to attempt to clear out the fuel system. I have a can of Seafoam.... should I just dump it in my tank with my next fill?

    Anyone used any sort of fuel system cleaner in their 1.4T? how was your experience?

    Any good fuel injector cleaner with work. STP, Gumout, Seaform etc. I use fuel injector every once a while. Would be very beneficial to your fuel system.

    I don't recommend using Sea Foam... but whatever you use make sure and follow the manufactures instructions.

    I run high octane pump gas and race gas.

    There's a ton of solvents in gasoline, just run it.

    I'm not big on additives, but I have used Chevron Techron in my cars although I've never used it in the Abarth. I decided to skip using additives in it after reading FCA's recommendations against them.

    I use Seafoam when I rebuild carburetors. It doesn't kill rubber like other carb cleaners.

    I wonder if FCA advising against using them has anything to do with clogging up the multiair?

    i've been sitting on this can of seafoam for a week and still can't decide whether to use it. I'm thinking i'll just pour it all into the gas tank and hope for the best

    I always mix seafoam in my blinker fluid.

    The MultiAir System is run by oil/ oil pressure. What's a fuel additive got to do with oil?

    Yeah that makes sense. I know it's common to do half in oil / half in gas, though. I'd only put it in the gas tank at this point

    Yes... I am yelling. Please don't. Just run the proper oil and oil change intervals.
