Yep, as expected. The Nissan had 2.5 times the engine displacement, 260 HP, and 0-60 of 5.8 seconds (auto) or 6.1 (manual). Of course it had the traditional Nissan tranny troubles (clutches in the manual, trannies in the autos) and their lousy cat conv which could fail and damage the engine.

The modern version is the Altima SR with vc-turbo. The sucky part is it only comes with a CVT tranny.

At least the Abarth exhaust note, is fantastic. There are lots of trucks, crossovers, SUV’s, EV’s and sedans, that are faster then the 500 Abarth. Some can even handle just as well too. Still small is more fun. Why stick with a just a stock Abarth. 500 madness can fix you up with more performance, and a lot better handing.
