Upgrade Uconnect?

Hello--

I have a 2017 orange 500x Pop (stick shift) that I bought new from the dealer in 2018 at a great price, but the lack of Apple CarPlay has always bugged me. Has anyone had luck swapping a later Uconnect radio into a 2016 or 2017 500x...? Yes, I know there are aftermarket options, but I would like to preserve the stock look if at all possible. I should mention that my car does have the Popular Package with backup cam.

I'd suggest going to an aftermarket head unit, if you want to swap.

A new OEM head unit is going to cost you a fortune. Unless you happen to find a salvage one. Crutchfield, carries lots of aftermarket radios. With Apple car play, and Android auto.
