Nothing for automatic shifters. Plenty for manual transmissions.

There are universal fitments that will work. You have to do some research and study them to see how they fit. You will need one with a shaft with inserts and Allen screws to fit over the stock shaft. The knob will screw onto the new shaft. I have done it. It is possible.

Yeah, sometimes you have to be the the first; measure twice, spend the money, hope it works.

I not sure if the old knob, is screwed on, or a pressure fit. You would need to measure the OEM shaft diameter. My knob, is a cheap plastic. I always wanted the later model leather ones.

The parts diagram, doesn’t show how it’s fastened on.

There is a clip that you push out when you pull the bottom trim stem piece down. Very simple to do. I am pretty sure you can swap it out for an Abarth knob.

I can't find the Ebay link for the one that I used on my Sport but it had flexible plastic inserts to make up the difference between the stock shaft size and the inner diameter of the new stem. The stem was then secured with Allen screws and the shift ball screwed on the top of the stem.

    Here we go:

I got pretty fiddly with it. I think that I drilled and tapped more places for allen screws to make it fit tighter. Also, I think that used one of the plastic inserts below the new stem to cover the exposed part of the old stem since this made the new assembly sit up about an inch or so higher than the stock knob. I liked what I did.

This one may better illustrate how it would work. Just know that the length of the existing shaft will make it sit up high and expose a lot of the skinny existing shaft before you get to the new assembly. Hence I used the tapered plastic inserts to cover that part of the existing shaft.

    Doug,

    To remove the automatic gearshift:

    1. Use trim stick, pry the collardownward away from the shifter knob.

NOTE: When removing the spring you will be pushing from the driver side towards the passenger side of the vehicle.

NOTE: Position your hand to capture the spring as it can be lost during this process.

    2. Use a ex key or the equivalent to press out the retaining spring.

    3. Firmly pull up on shifter know and remove from the shifter shaft.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any inquiries.
