Tow limits on 500L

What are the tow limits of a 500L. Could it tow a 500?

My manual states towing not recommended and there are no specs in the back listing any weights, however I do recall past posts from other members who have towed light duty items like canoes and small boats.

Most likely yes, but you would need to consult the owners manual of your 2015 Fiat 500L to determine what the towing capacity/restrictions are.

For a hitch you would want the part # C11364, for a ball mount part # C45572 for 2 inch ball, or part # C45571 for 1-7/8 inch ball.

For trailer wiring part # C56193.

Yes, that's the tow weight for the hitch, not the car. In the UK, they say it can tow 880 lbs, 2200 lbs if the trailer has brakes... but even in the UK, trailers are not recommended by Fiat.

and a fiat 500 weighs 2500lbs, plus the weight of the trailer. The 500L only weighs 3500lbs itself, so that's not going to be safe even if your drivetrain can move it.
