    Should I buy this Abarth?

    Hello everyone,

I'm in the market for a new car. I'm really torn up between getting a Mazda Miata Mx-5 or this 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth I seen. It has 55k miles on it and is listed for only 6,495! It has a dent on a front panel with no paint missing which is minor and the carfax and vin checker show no signs of an accident. This car is about a 3 hour drive from me so I'm hesitant on taking the plunge yet. I guess my question is am I stupid for not running over immediately and checking it out? or is it obviously a scam? I'm trying to get a reliable car that's capable of 160 hp. Thank you.

Seems like a pretty market value price for a car in good interior shape with minor exterior damage.

Which one to do really like to drive? Is more fun? The Miata, or the 500? My good friend has a Miata, he loves that car. They have a fantastic resale value. I miss our first generation one. Theres nothing wrong with the Abarth, it fun too. 2 different type of vehicle to compare. Nothing like a open air roadster, on a beautiful spring, or fall day. The Abarth is more practical. You can drive it all seasons, year long. Check out cars.com, lots of used Abarth on the market, for sale. Check out what the other ones are selling for.

It all about what you want. Drive both, you make the decision.

If it’s a manual, which car is easier to shift? I took a 2018 Mazda 3 manual out, and that stupid infotainment knob sits where your wrist should sit, in front of the shifter. Considering you do that 100 times a day, it was easy to pick the Abarth.

But if you want a car that’s likely more reliable (some will argue with me here), is easier to find parts and repair shops close to where you live, then the Mazda is likely a better choice.

Do you do more freeway, or back road driving? Mazda for backroads (lower to the ground = fun), Abarth for freeways (sit higher, easier to see around monster trucks).

Depending on where you live, a decent priced, quality Abarth will always pop-up on an online used car service. I’d pay an extra grand to have the right car shipped later, than pay less for the wrong car now.

But the Abarth will always be more unique, and better sounding....

2017 500 Abarth, manual trans, NAV, Beats, Sunroof, 17" wheels, everything. But no mods. None, nada.

Thanks for the answers guys. I'm looking for a daily driver. I drive about 20 minutes on the highway 5 days a week. I think i'll go take the plunge and drive out to see that abarth from 3 hours away.
