I saw somewhere on this forum that the factory air box is like a CAI and that if you add a K&N air filter, it'll have a little intake growl, but I'm having a hard time trying to find videos on that.

We did call 500 Madness about lowering springs as well, and they said that they have their own lowering springs, that are $250 and they'll drop the car by 1.2" front and rear. It seems well worth it, Art from 500 Madness says that it'll give it a nice stance, without making it look like your going 4 wheeling. Has anybody installed that kit yet and has had issues with scraping?
Not sure you Mom would approve of this.... just do what my friend did to his Pop. Abarth exhaust, no muffers.

That's not too bad of an idea, we might get the spare tire kit though, in the future, so we'll just stick to adding a newer, and slimmer resonator, so it's not too loud or too quiet. It's also on the cheaper end, so that's what works for us.

She drives with the windows down, and the radio up, but when we want to relax... We found that putting on the magnaflow glass pack resonator is probably the best idea for us. Plus, that resonator scrapes on everything if you take dips and stuff like that at the wrong angle, because it's so large.

That's fine because we don't drive over 80 mph often, like never. Too scary in that car. Our car is an Automatic, so the 6th gear might help quiet things down a bit.

Only if you change the sticker to "Louder than your mom last night" ... would his mom approve.

No. The car is still way too loud, how to make the California police mad. 1, put an Abarth exhaust on a 500 Pop, 2, try to fight it, 3; win the case.

You would be amazed to find out how AWESOME these little doodle bug shaped cars handle, not to mention brakes that put most American cars to shame. These are NOT the economy cars of the '60's. They use high tensile strength steel in a number of places. While I have no inclination to test it out, I've never felt less safe in any of my FIATs than other cars I've owned. All of the FIATs listed in my "signature" were traded in EXCELLENT undamaged shape.

My personal feeling, at a little north of 74 YO, is that one should NEVER be afraid of their dog or their car. I always recommend taking a car out and pushing the envelope somewhat to find out how to deal with edge of the envelope situations before you HAVE to deal with one.

My Sport is also an automatic...neuropathy and deteriorating left knee. Getting ready to dump a trailer load of $$$ in mods that are accumulating in my entryway. The Sport is PAID FOR, which is more important than 135 or 160 HP turbocharged engines now.
