Very thorough review. I hope they sell a lot of them.

He’s auto reviews, are always thorough and positive. Never negative comments. He makes nice Comparisons to equivalent vehicles.

Fiat could have introduced some of those features, but needed another decade for the best ideas. For me, if that'd been what they offered, I'd still be driving my Neon. It was more fun and practical than any car on the market, excepting the 500. The smallest Mini would have served, but I could write a check for the 500. Despite its many flaws, the 500 is ideal for me.

Disagree that they should have started with that. The 500X is dreadful. They wouldn't have earned any "brand ambassadors" with that one.

What they screwed up on was dealer service and advertising. You can't advertise your way out of bad dealer experiences, but they pretty much stopped advertising Fiat in any meaningful way while dealers were still selling.

Blame lies completely at Sergio Marchionne's headstone. He was on record saying he hoped the 500e didn't sell because they lost money on every one. It was blatantly clear from that and other actions of his that he had no desire to build Fiat as a successful brand in the US market. He was merely playing a game to mollify the US Gov and Chrysler stockholders that it wasn't merely a Fiat buyout of Jeep, which is what it really was.

The only vehicle offerings left, in the Fiat brand here. are the 500X, and the 124 now. I wonder if there are any new vehicles planned to sell here in NA. Is Fiat planning to leave here?

The new service center they built in Westbury, NY about a year ago only has Alfa Romeo signs on it. They service the Fiat's there as well but no Fiat signs. I feel they must know something about the fate of Fiat cars here.
