Lightbulb Race car like suspension $1200ish budget BC Coilovers or Sportlines/Konis or ?????

Basically I want a street legal race car and my first step of many is going to be springs/dampners. Im looking for the flattest cornering most aggressive suspension I can get for around a grand. I dont care how low or how it rides on the street. Searches and Google have lead me to believe my two best options are BC Coilovers or Eibach Sportlines on Koni Yellows. Did I miss any options and if not, what would you choose?

Go with the BC Racing Coilovers. They are one of my favorite coilover setups.

Only complaint Ive heard about the BCs is the front spring rate is too soft but if you compare manufacturer specs, the BCs having a higher spring rate than the Sportlines.

    Front. Rear
    Stock. 150lb/in. 195lb/in

    Sportlines. 195lb/in. 220lb/in

    BCs 5kg/mm. 5kg/mm

Using the formula 1kg/mm=56lbs/in. the BCs convert to 280lb/in. So the BCs should be stiffer than the Sportlines. I guess Im torn. Are the BC reviews wrong or are the specs listed by the manufacturer wrong? A FMIC is going in this thing and I want the handling to be on par above all else but I also dont want to give the bottom of the intercooler a shave every time I sneeze too hard in my car.

I don't have the BC's but would make more sense to get the extra adjustable features, and you can do a corner balance which is absolutely essential. Also I believe (gotta confirm) that the front BC strut allows for camber adjustment which is also essential.

For track only setup, I would be very curious to see which springs are linear and progressive, because you want to make sure you have linear springs...could be a good idea to look into?

After some conversations and the advice given here Im going with BCs. They offer custom valving and rebuild services as well as custom spring rates in 2kg/mm increments and it has yet to be confirmed but it looks like I can get both linear and progressive rate springs also.

that's perfect then, definitely go with the linear spring rates, keeps the car more flat and less nose dive under braking
