    Need faster windshield wipers

    Need faster windshield wipers.

FCA should consider improving the top speed of the windshield wipers on this car. It seems to be a little bit slow. I am the owner of a 07 Jeep compass and I noticed that the compass has faster windshield wipers. It does help a lot.
Do you guys agree with me?

The Fiat is moving a really big wiper... and seems quick enough to me. When I hit rain hard enough to require high speed, it's usually coming down too quick for safe driving... or I'm too close to another vehicle.

Agreed on the RainX. You won't need the "High" setting ever again with a proper rainX application.

And I mean the stuff in the plastic bottle that you wipe on with a towel. Not the RainX wipers (they suck), or the RainX glass cleaner, which is really only for maintenance not an initial treatment.

I've been using Rain-X for years, since I noticed the rubber in most wipers had changed and seemed to chatter over the glass when cold. I used to use the wipe on stuff, but have since switched to the orange washer fluid. It seems to work just as well - it doesn't last as long but a squirt from the washers will renew it, and it doesn't not leave that smeary film the wipe-on stuff does when it gets old.

You need enough air flow to make Rain-X work, but that happens at higher speeds where you'd want faster wipers anyway.

I guess I’ve never notice the 500’s wipers being slow. They seem to be just as fast, as our other cars we own. They keep up in heavy rains we have here. Fine with Sleet and snow too.

    on Rain-X.

BTW, of all the things on my car, wipers are not at the top of the list of what I want to go faster.

theres a lot of griping about minor issues or annoyances, but in essence, a 500 abarth is a cheapie runaround thats fun as f#qk

I'll try your rainx . I was commenting on the difference in speeds of the 500x wipers compared to the 2007 Jeep compass' . Maybe your Abarth has a fast enough wipers. I never owned an Abarth so I don't know but I'm thinking of buying a 124 Abarth as soon as the construction on my new garage is completed. I live in Pacific Grove and the surrounding areas are just a great place to drive a roadster. My 500x trekking plus has sunroof and I use it a lot. I figure why not go topless. I will keep the trekking of course and the Jeep. 293,000 troublefree miles and counting. I'll see how long it lasts. I'm really not that big on cars unlike some of my neighbors who own fantastic beautiful classics some worth half a million bucks or more. For me, it's the the house and a couple of horses. i spend more money on the horses compared to my cars. $840 dollars for each horse per month.
