For all that say Fiat prices are down.

I've read here many posts saying the low demand has caused prices of the car to drop significantly over the last few years. I checked the dealer auction sales and found that couldn't be further from the truth.

YR MAKE MODEL ENG BODY TRN PS PB AC TOP 4X4 ODOMETER COLOR PRICE
    2017 FIAT 124 ABARTH 4GT 2DCV 6 PS AC CV 4X2 15,716 BLACK $23,250

    2017 FIAT 500 POP 4G 2DCP 5 PS AC HT 4X2 3,960 BLACK $11,800

    2017 FIAT 500 LOUNGE 4G 2DCP A PS AC SR 4X2 15,354 GREEN $10,300

    2014 FIAT 500L LOUNGE 4G 5DHB A PS AC PN 4X2 88,965 BLACK $8,500

    2016 FIAT 500X TREK + 4G SUV A PS AC HT AWD 31,677 RED $14,000

    2016 FIAT 500X EASY 4G SUV A PS AC HT AWD 13,533 BLACK $12,600

    2015 FIAT 500 POP 4G 2DCP A PS AC HT 32,608 RED $8,300

    2016 FIAT 500X TREK 4G SUV A PS AC HT AWD 25,055 ORANGE $13,500

Those are sales from just one auction in July. After buy fees, transportation, reconditioning and dealer profit, add at least another $2,000 to those figures to get an idea of what they will be sold for to the public. It's encouraging to see a 5 year old plain Pop is still over $8,000. You could probably get a similar VW Beetle or Toyota Yaris for that much, so nobody is giving them away.

That’s possibly because they are leaving the North American market.

That's quite possible but at this point in time that's rumor, not fact. People have saying that for last several years. The sad thing is that it often becomes a self- fulfilling prophecy. FIAT still has a pretty good social media presence in the North American market and some of comments left me shaking my head. Some thought FIAT no longer sold cars in the U.S. while others said the said the 124 Spider was no longer being produced. Neither was true but the effect is the same.

Part of that had to do with the lag between company announcements they were pulling out, and how long it took to clear the manufacturing and sales networks of inventory. As long as they had the supplies to keep building complete cars they did so.

The 500 is officially dead but they might continue selling the 500X and 500L. I believe the Spider is also discontinued.

Last thing "official" thing I saw on the 124 Spider was from a European FCA official in December and iirc he said it would be discontinued in Europe (along with the 595/695 Abarth) due to forthcoming stricter European emission rules but that production would continue for the North American and APAC markets. Will try to find it and post a link. With Covid 19, the PSA merger and everything else going on in the world, I'm not sure even FCA knows what's happening next.
