It sounds like it could be a transmission issue or a problem from the car sitting for a while. It's a good idea to have a mechanic check it out.

    Clicking noise while steering?

My Fiat 500 only has about 500 miles on it. Yesterday, I noticed an audible clicking sound, which could be felt in the drivers floor area as well while turning the steering wheel about 90 degrees or greater. Has anyone else heard/felt this? My dealer is new and doesn't even have service set up yet. The car seems to be driving fine, but the last thing I want is a steering failure. A couple days before this started, I noticed that the brake pedal felt a lit funky when releasing it. Not sure if this is all connected?

can you explain what exactly feels "funky" about the break pedal? Does it stick or something else?
I know it's hot out there right now and your brakes are brand new but still break sticking shouldn't have happened.
You are right - steering and brakes are the last two things you don't want to fail. Take it back to the dealer and demand to inpect it.

More than likely your brakes are set up for Hillstart on. This feature when on on my car does the very same thing you are describing. If you turn it off you should see that funky release thing go away.
Give it a try and see what happens. At least you can rule it out or not. As far as the steering I haven't had that problem.

      Good Luck

I have felt the brake pedal feeling 'clunky' when releasing on two different cars in particular. (PE 100 and PE 164) It seems to happen when the car is warm and changing the hill start option has no effect. The pedal does not rise smoothly under my foot. Braking action is perfect and it does not appear to be a hydraulic issue. I'm somewhat relieved to see another person with what appears to be the same issue.

I've noticed it, too. I believed it to be something to do with the hill-start, but haven't tried to de-activate it to see. It's like a just perceptible pause when lifting off the pedal.
