    Nissan Figaro...anyone?

Has anyone ever owned/imported/driven one of these strange, rare, Japanese, right-hand drive beauties? I saw a Nissan Figaro in London 10 years ago, but just thought it was a cool little euro-car. But unlike then, NOW they can be brought into the U.S. It would look good beside the Abarth...

You can import here after some type of 25 year period law. There prefect for Great Britain, being right hand drive. Large club following there.
Really neat little car. I think Nissan only produce them for the Japanese market. For one year.

There was a guy here who imported one. He’s on YouTube completely restores the car where it’s rusted out,on the bodywork repairs the engine. Refreshes the interior. he has four or five videos on you tube. I watched them all.

Cute car, but I hadn't seen them before. I don't know what it is about Smyrna TN, but a bunch are for sale there. One is in NC also.

They came, in 4 different colors. The colors related to the season of the year. Spring, Summer, fall, and winter. All the dash board switchgear was made of polished or chrome metal no plastic. The radios are very retro but aren’t compatible with our frequencies here. I can’t believe I have that much knowledge of that little retro inspired car.

Yeah, they're super-cool looking cars, inside and out. The right-hand drive doesn't bother me, and there's a company who makes a replacement radio which looks exactly the same, except it converts the frequencies to world standards, and includes bluetooth if you want. Sure, it's only 70hp, but it's a Nissan turbo, and is 600 lbs lighter than a 500c, so it would be fine for boogying around town. Time to start shopping. The clam-shell switches are superb!

PS - the photos you posted look great - what's their size, dpi, etc., so I can post better pics than I have in the past

the guy in NC has about 100 of them - I think he's hoping a big, American interest occurs, and people feel better buying from a U.S. site than a Japanese auction house. His prices are a little high for my liking, since the car sold for the equivalent of $6300 new in 1991, and isn't exactly a luxury model.
