    Fiat 500 storage tray

Would the EU storage tray on the drivers side fit on the US Automatic Fiat 500? It looks like it would fit perfectly. The white car is the EU 500, and the blue car is the Automatic US 500. Has anyone tried this yet?Screenshot 2020-05-31 at 23.35.23.jpgScreenshot 2020-05-31 at 23.36.52.jpg

I doubt it. It would have to snap in place and it looks like the steering shrouds are different as well.

I don’t know if it will fit, I know the steering column shrouds are the same. On the EU cars if you remove the storage tray, it reveals the OBDII port.

I was looking at installing a storage tray beneath the passenger seat, but decided to install an amp there instead. I have some spare plexi in the garage for a face plate. I found a local guy who makes gun safes and PU utility boxes. I thought it'd be nice to have a secure cabinet, sort of like the pull-out storage in mini-vans.

Thats a better idea. Do the US 500s have the storage build into the seat? My moms car doesnt have it.

The owner's manual mentions one "if equipped" for 2012. Fiat parts lists it for the 2012-13. I considered buying one but I think it was only a place to tuck your owner's manual. I saw this thread that said the seats may be lower after that time, so wasn't sure if it would work. IIRC, my dealer said it was around $100, but I see Amoparstore.com has it listed at $31.45 plus shipping.

That isn't secure not as large as I wanted. Aftermarket locking Jeep boxes are around $75 to $350, depending on how secure you want. He said he could build a custom fit box for $180, with a lock or simple latch.

2012 500 Pop offered the storage container under the passenger seat. Fiat offed another one, where the front seat lifted, on a hinge. The box was under the seat.
