    2016 Fiat 500e lowering

Just got done lowering my 2016 500e, wow what a difference it made to how the car handles. By far the easiest car to lower I've ever done, getting jacks out from under car is definitely a challenge!! Used Madness springs, it is an extreme drop for daily driving just like others have said. Handles and rides way better, only thing now is the front stock strut doesn't have enough travel/rebound/dampening. Rear seems fine, energy suspension bump stop definitely does it's job. So just ordered both Koni front struts from RCA garage for $299 for both shipped for free no tax!!!! There having having a sale through this month 5/31. Excited to see how these tame the front, wouldn't have bought them if they didn't have a sale on them. Crazy how expensive these shocks are. I'm keeping this car for another 2 1/2 years so I want it to ride nice but lowered for spirited drive around DFW. Rear shocks I'll look at once front is installed.

Sounds like a great idea for any 500! I lowered my Abarth also, and while the Koni shocks make the ride a bit harder, it's nice to have.

Checked out your blog, you are a car enthusiast for sure. I'm currently living in DFW but I'm from Austin Tx, noticed some COTA pictures on you blog. I lived about 5 miles from the track, used to go over there all the time even (like you) got to walk the track!! This is my first set of Koni shocks arrived yesterday, gotta say I'm really impressed with build on these shocks. I already ordered the rear Koni, there back ordered till the end of the month. The harder ride isn't going to bother me, this car only has 100 mile range so it's only used for around town. Sits freaking low, speed bumps are the hardest to judge and rear likes to bottom out with anything in the back. I have a Summit Racing store 13 miles from my house (LOVE IT), the little speed bumps there are even to high. Thinking next project after shocks is to get some plexiglass thin sheets and affix them to the "know" scrap points on this car, only thing under the center of the car is batteries so it's flat.

Thanks, I'm on post #6. Only 5,352 post till I catch you, I'll never make that in 2 1/2 years.
