One thing’s for sure, the guy who got the John Cooper Works 2004 Mini for $9k got a pretty good deal, as did the VW Fastback 3 buyers. Since they’re in the O.C., I need to find out where they’re shooting and selling their refurbs....
well youve answered your own first post clean facility question lol. of course you can have one.

i wish they would declare the mileages on the vehicles. i know they did on the mini but that was for the benefit of carrying out the 'dreaded' 100,000 mile service

No channel to change, I stopped watching it 15 years ago. Not only am I no longer subject to the non-stop propaganda, the emotional appeals and the husksters trying to sell me things I don’t need, I have time to actually think and to do things.

It is in part why I can fix things where others must ask for help.

I bet a lot of those cars, they restore. Had very high mileage. They did a episode. How the cars faired years later, with the new owners. What nice nice about Wheeler Dealers. They work on all brands of cars. From Japan, America, Europe, etc. Lots of valuable technical automotive information. Ed China, is a master mechanic.

There was one episode where Mike Brewer purchased a vintage Fiat 500, from Italy. Tried to drive it back to Great Britain. Ed completely restore that vehicle with a Abarth 2 cylinder engine. Beautiful restoration of that vehicle.

[QUOTE=smark;859393]I enjoy, all the cars shows on the Motor Trend channel/velocity channel. Ive watched Wheeler Dealers for many year. Was upset when Ed China left the show. Bitchin rides is my very favorite automotive show. I miss Chip Foose, and Overhaulin.

The way I understood it Velocity wanted to change the show up to show significantly less technical repair footage and more sensationalized nonsense. Sounds like the camera crews didn't want to stick around for 40 hours watching him work so he could document every step of the way. He wouldn't budge on the decision not to dilute the show so he left.

Ironically Ant still does a lot of shop time, but in general his tasks are more showy and less practical for the at home wrench. Best example of this is making a fiberglass 3rd wing for the Escort Cosworth in the very first episode of new WD.

Edd says it better than I can.

Lots of good car shows on the Motor Trend channel. Motor Week, I’ve been watching since the early 80’s. Car fix, all girls garage etc. there’s a new one, airs in Great Britain. The garage electrified, classic vehicles, into modern EV’s. Lots of valuable knowledge gained from watching these automotive shows.

Ed China, did do several years series working here in California.

Another really good show on Motor Trend, is the Guild Garage.

You'd think it would be easier to find another guy to buy cars and drop them off then it would be to find another Edd China. Maybe Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen? lol.

I mean... do you need Mike's role at all?

To be fair I really like Mike's emphasis on finding local specialists and repair shops.

I agree. Use them, or loose them. Lots of one of a kind specialists.

I should think if Edd wants to continue in the same vein, it would be easy enough to find a front-man, an ‘entertainer, per se. We’ll see...
