    Is it possible to fit Brembos off other vehicles

    Being locked down due to the whole Covid-19 sh!t, my mind is wandering (and wondering) : could one install Brembos not initially made for the 500 on this vehicle?

    For instance, I saw on eBay a set of rear SRT calipers for dirt cheap. Front vs. rear application aside, it's a matter of making sure they are centered with the disc and to use a disc of proper diameter.

    With OE Abarth Brembos being super scarce and super expensive, it seems like using another model of Brembo is only a bracket away. Am I dreaming, or...?

    Generally speaking, similar sized calipers are all the same casting and the bracket is what is vehicle specific.
    Rotor width is also something to consider and usually determined by the size / weight of the original application.
    Choose calipers off of a smaller vehicle and I would agree with your conclusion - it's just a bracket away.

    I’m following.

    I’ve looked some for the 500x. I know people have used Alfa Brembos on Darts. And they share a lot with the platform.

    A lot is possible you just have to make things fit.

    Many years ago I redid brakes on my Sentra SPECV;
    4 piston calipers from a 90 300zx. 12” drilled rotors that car quest milled .010 off the radius to fit. Lines to fit Z calipers on a 240. Maxima rear caliper backets to space for redrilled Altima drilled rotors.
    it looked sweet, stopped like a supercar and I’m sure an highschool dropout at Carx charged the next owner for an entire brake system when no OEM pads fit.

    The rear Grand Cherokee SRT calipers I was looking at will not work. The rear discs on a Jeep SRT are way bigger than the Abarth's. Nevertheless, this kind of oddball project is interesting...
