Fiat uConnect NAVIGATION OWNERS, please help....

2017 500 Abarth with uConnect / Beats / Navigation factory unit.

Problem: the NAV unit randomly (about every four/five times the cars started) resets itself and wants the State, City, Zip, street # inputted before it will function.

Oddly, all my favorites, settings, etc. are retained.

So why does the NAV think I’ve never entered the location info, but only occasionally. Software bug to me, but...

Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? Super annoying if you’re already in gear when you realize the NAV needs babysitting....

    PS - first world problem

Is it Tom Tom / or Garmin base, system in the dash. You might have to update your firm wear on your navigation system. Is there a place on Fiats Internet. To acquire updated navigation software so you can load it to a flash drive. Then down load it to your car. Honda, and Kia has that. We do that on both of our cars.

I prefer using my Apple Maps, or Google on my phone. I haven use my Tom Tom navigation since new. You have to pay for updates.

Thanks, do you have a factory nav? I actually prefer built-ins to using my phone, but I don’t want to go down that road in this thread
