Seat mounts on a European car. to compare with your car. Actually, this is a pre-production US car. Fiat USA decided the European car's unfinished seat backs wouldn't fit with US expectations, so they carpeted the seatbacks.

It looks like the lower bar lammie posted will fit with a back seat. Below is a top mount bar that you need to remove the back seat to mount:

For some reason the brackets on the NA car look different than the EU car. A vendor told me previously that the EU bar wouldn't fit an NA car. The odd thing is that the bar wouldn't have to fit tight with the flanges underneath the brackets as the EU version shows. It could be shorter and the difference could be taken up with pipe spacers and/or washers.

After some research and $37 I found a bar that works. There is a link for it below. I needed to cut 7/8" off of either end of the bar and the same off of both clevis bolts. I have a metal chop saw so that was pretty easy to do. Installation took about 30 minutes. I needed to remove the amp to do it. Very easy to do. I also put lock washers inside the clevis clamp on both legs to keep them from rotating under stress. All the bolts are extremely tight. Seats still fold down as usual. I will take a test drive later. Who knows if I will notice anything different, but for $37 and a bit of my time it seemed worth the effort.

I made this with aluminum tie rods/heims from Speedway and some basic tabs from AA Manufacturing. I personally don't understand the benefit of a bar that is so close the the floor, which is already acting as a lateral shear plane, but to each their own. Glad you found something that fits.

Obviously a higher bar with triangulation would work better. That said, the attachment points that I used are very close to the rear axle assembly attachment points and the rear shock attachment points. Tying them together with a stiff assembly and not relying on a thin plane of sheet metal can’t hurt.
