Let's repeat the game we played last January. What were the best and worst cars you drove in 2019?
Best: 2017 Volvo S90
Stupidly pretty, floated around like a cloud, classy and comfortable interior. I don't know if it's something I'd want to own, but it was really nice to drive for 3 days and chauffeur my family around.
I always got confused searching the Transit passenger models. The Connect is the small (up to 7 passengers) van, but I think you'll find it's rated at 24/27 EPA. With the auto-shutoff it can actually get those ratings in chauffeuring kids around to soccer and school, per my friend. They had one for a few weeks, while their regular rig was being repaired. He like it but thought it could do with more power.
It has some really nice features available. Tow up to 2K (lightly loaded) w/ that option, and the electric heater is a must have... start it up and the windows defrost as if the engine was warm. Anyone who's owned a van in winter would kill for that option.
I decided on my worst:
Our rental F56 MINI. (That's a current gen 2-door Cooper S to you non MINI nerds)
Too heavy, bulky, didn't like the transmission, and it had horrendous wind noise which ruined the point of BMW making it so damn heavy in the first place. It drives well for a car in 2019, but it's pretty disappointing as a MINI.
it became clear to me that my last year was less than stellar for cars
worst of 2019
best of 2019
my sisters new countryman cooperS all4
haha. The new Countryman is nice.. but it's uuuuge in a way that makes my wife's Paceman feel like a sportscar. Did your sister buy the plug in hybrid or just the first pic you found? Because that hybrid is a pig!
you know what I didn't notice that the pic was of a hybrid. no hers is not a hybrid its the 1.whatersize turbo
