Are there no real header options???

Okay... I'm sorry, I know this has had to of been a thread before. But I'm not going back 30 pages, and the advanced search function is coming up with very little. I've seen Becker, OBX, and CX-Racing headers. And they all look like the exact same Chinese knock-off copy POS crap steel gonna crack eventually junk headers, that probably have too large and uneaven primaries that hurt performance more than help. Amirite?! Also pretty sure I read that most of you who have tried these headers are getting CEL for the o2 sensors being too sensetive.

Are there any real header options for these cars?

I tagged a few threads discussing headers for you. Unfortunately, a lot of the development on naturally aspirated engines slowed down once the Abarth and later, the 500T came out.

There was a company with a promising header design that approached me about becoming a vendor on the forum about 2 years ago but they seemed to suddenly disappear. It was a surprise because the header was well designed and they were very excited about coming on board. I checked their site out and they never came out with the header. Too bad. Likely had something to do with the non-turbo 500 being discontinued in 2018.

That is too bad! Oh well, looks like OEM manifold is what stays on the car!

I got a header and high flow cat from Ngen. I think it was made by engineworks . Bryan can give you the details. The header and cat fit perfect on my '13 Sport.DSCF4351.jpgDSCF4346.jpg

So they still make these? Are the made to order? What did this end up costing you?

I have that NGEN proptotype solution on my Pop too. My understanding is that the pricing was going to be North of $1,300 and it was decided that was no real market for them at that price.

I might be persuaded to let mine go at some point, but probably not this year. Planning to make my Pop a little less raucous.

Depending on your price, I'd be very interested in it when/if you want to let it go.

One post mentioned that the factory header was restricted where it meets the down pipe. He said he opened it up when he put on the non-cat down pipe. I don't know if that's true.

They are made by icENGINEWORKS out of Austin. They are made to order and run about $1600. We decided not to offer them due to no real market.

It looks like Bryan and Paul answered all the questions. Just in case this pops up , I don't plan on selling mine.
