    Ever heard THIS before?

I have a '15 Trekking. A year ago last Summer it had a turbo replaced - was making a weird sound, lack of acceleration... dealer went ahead and replaced. Then this Summer the noise came back. They could not get it to make the noise for anything, but I played a vid I made of it, and by way of a stethescope decided to replace the turbo for the 2nd time (still inder warranty). No sooner did I drive it home than the noise came back. Even tho it happens frequently, they said it just would never do it for them. But they told me that because this all happened under warranty and they have a case opened, should anything come of it that it should be covered... but, still nobody can tell me (and evidently the dealer mechanics) what's causing this noise!

I know of two things that made similar noises. The waste gate slapping back and forth from disregulated control was one. Look for leaks in the boost control, I think. Could it be the diaphragm in the actuator is bad?
Another poster mentions the pcv valve hammering back and forth...likewise, look for leaks or restrictions in the pcv system. Of course it could be other things or causes.

The fitttings and lines on the boost control solenoid have been found cracked or split. Probably easy to do during an oil filter change if not careful.
